Siyanda “Bambi” Stillwell
Advisor, Artist, and Founder of DOAM
Siyanda “Bambi” Stillwell is a music advisor, artist, and founder of DOAM, working at the intersection of music, finance, and strategy. He helps artists unlock the full value of their catalogs while creating new opportunities across deals, management, and licensing to support long-term creative and financial growth. Siyanda has facilitated over seven figures in capital flowing to independent artists through catalog transactions and strategic advisory
Born in Durban, South Africa, and raised between London, South Africa, and the United States, Siyanda’s early life was shaped by both cultural movement and music. His biological mother, Elizabeth, was a respected music educator and social activist who emphasized the importance of creative expression and global awareness, an influence that continues to inform his approach to both music and business. Her life and passion are a big drive behind DOAM’s efforts
After being adopted and relocating to the United States, Siyanda was raised in Boston by parents who operated their own business, which helped inspire him to do the same. After high school his mum encouraged him to move San Antonio, where he worked with City Year, an AmeriCorps program. There, he supported students academically while also leading after-school programs focused on music and creative development, reinforcing his belief that success is self-defined and rooted in access to opportunity. He later attended the University of Texas at Austin, studying Arts and Entertainment Technologies, before moving to Los Angeles to pursue music full-time.
While in Los Angeles, Siyanda became increasingly involved in the business side of the music industry, organizing shows, building relationships, and creating opportunities for emerging artists. This included involvement in booking early performances for artists such as bbno$ and Yung Gravy, as well as supporting independent events and activations around SXSW.
Following his own catalog transaction with Duetti, Siyanda developed a focused interest in the growing market for music asset sales. What began as advising peers quickly expanded into a broader practice, working with independent artists to evaluate, structure, and execute catalog deals, as well as explore licensing and strategic opportunities. Over the past several years, he has worked across multiple artist engagements and helped facilitate over seven figures in capital flowing to independent artists.
Today, through DOAM, Siyanda works as a strategic partner to artists navigating the evolving music landscape, bridging the gap between the creative and financial sides of the industry. His approach is grounded in real experience as both an artist and advisor, with a focus on helping clients make informed decisions that support both their creative vision and long-term future. The music industry often separates art from asset; DOAM exists to bring the two back together.
Also known as Bambi, Siyanda remains active in music, maintaining a direct connection to the creative side of the industry.
